Millet is a healthy and energetic diet. It is easy to cook and easy to digest. It contains high fibre, high in micronutrients and antioxidants. It is gluten free, non acid forming food an alternative to rice. It is also good for obesity, diabetes, heart patients, gastric issues. There are different types of millet like buckwheat, foxtail millet, little millet, finger millet, pearl millet etc. I got some variety of organic millet from #millets4health
Here I am going to share with you mixed millet Khichdi. I added some organic green vegetables to make the Khichdi more tasty.
Wash and strain the mixed millet. Boil a glass of water with bay leaves. Add mixed millet, chopped carrot, green chillies, turmeric powder and salt.
Cover and cook for 10 minutes. On other side take a pan for tempering add oil, cumin seeds and red chilli. Saute for a few seconds, add cauliflower, green peas, chopped potato, chopped cabbage, chopped tomato, ginger paste and salt.
Cook for a few minutes, now see the millet is done. Pour the cooked vegetables into the Khichdi. Add homemade garam masala. Sprinkle with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve hot Khichdi with ghee or butter, along with any other dry curry.
