Rice 1/1/2 cup
Moong dal with skin 1/1/2 bowl
Salt

Sliced onion

whole red chili
Heeng 1 tsp
Desi ghee
clarified butter2 tbsp
green chili for garnishing
Instructions
Wash and soak Dal and rice for 1/2 an hour.
Cook the khichdi with 4 glass water and salt after a boil keep out the excess dirt , now cook the khichdi at least at least 15 minutes on sim flame
Heat the ghee in a pan and pop the cumin and chili then fry the onion till golden.
Serve hot khichdi garnish with fried onion,red chili and sliced green chili
