Urad Dal-1/2 tsp

Oil-1 tsp

Asafoetida-1/2 tsp

Dry
roast
red chillies in a pan.Once cooled adding little water grind to a fine paste in a blender.
In a pan add oil,mustard,urad dal and asafoetida to temper.
Add chopped onions and fry till pink.Add the chilli paste and salt.
Fry till oil leaves the sides of the pan.Squeeze lemon and switch off the stove.
Tangy and spicy lemon chilly chutney is ready.Serve it with idlis,dosas or upma.
Notes
You can avoid onions,if you want.
Use sesame oil for better taste.
Keep the consistency thin.
