It is very simple but yummy preparation of pav with potato and peas masala. This is a healthy version of vada-pav which is deep fried and more time taking. But as I always prefer to have a healthy version of our favourite food which is guilt free delicacy
Boil potatoes and keep aside. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of butter along with a teaspoon of oil
Add chopped ginger, garlic and chopped chillies cook for a minute
Now add chopped onion to this and cook till onion is translucent in colour
Add chopped tomato and salt and cook till it is properly cooked
Add pav bhaji masala to this and cook for a minute. now add green peas to this and saute for a minute or two
As masala and peas are cooked add boiled and mashed potato to this and cook for 3 to 4 minutes and while cooking press the masala with masher as shown in picture
Once masala is cooked properly, add chopped coriander, 1 Tablespoon of green chutney and imply ki chutney mix all together nicely
Now turn off the flame and add a tablespoon of lemon juice
For Pav preparation: Cut the pav into two halves, apply butter on each pav and cook it from both the sides on medium flame
On one half apply green chutney and place a tablespoon of masala
Drop some imly ki chutney and chopped onions on masala
Now cover this with the second half of pav
