Pav bhaji is a famous street food in Mumbai. In the summer season kids like to roam with their parents. They want street food but if we make the same recipe as good as kid's demand it will healthy. In street food sometimes they use colour to attract the customer. At home we can adjust the spice according to our taste. Pav bhaji means lot of butter which gives a better taste. I have not used any colour, I used finely chopped carrot, kashmiri mirch and tomato. Definitely kids will be attracted by the recipe.
To make the bhaji, take a pan and add butter. Then add chopped onion and chopped garlic. Sauté them, then add chopped cauliflower, tomato puree, and mashed potato.
Sauté, then add chopped carrots, salt, pav bhaji masala, and mix well. Add 1/2 cup of water and close the lid.
Now, after cooking, take a small pan and heat it. Add 1 tsp of butter along with 1 tsp of Kashmiri chili powder. It will turn a bright reddish color. Pour this mixture into the cooked bhaji and mix well.
Serve the cooked bhaji in a serving bowl and garnish it with a small piece of butter.
Now, take a frying pan and add butter for toasting the pav.
Toast the pav on both sides.
Serve the pav with bhaji, along with sliced onions.
