Chicken - 500 gms
Basmati rice - 500 gms
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Star anise - 1
cloves
- 2 - 3
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Bay leaf - 1
Mace paste - 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg powder - 1/4 tsp
Green cardamom - 2 - 3
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Hung curd - 1/2 cup
Sliced onion - 2 medium size
Chopped tomato - 1 big size
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Green chilly - 1 cut in slit
Clarified butter - 4 tbsp
Crushed mint leaves - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 tbsp
Green coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Instructions
Marinate chicken with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder,1 tsp red chilly powder,lemon juice,salt,hung curd and mix well
Keep rest for half an hour.
Take a pan/handi add clarified butter.
Add cinnamon stick,star anise,bay leaf,cloves,green cardamom and fry it.
Add sliced onion and saute for 2 - 3 m ins.
Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste,tomato,mace paste,nutmeg powder,1 tsp red chilly powder,green chilly and also add marinated chicken and mix well.
Add crushed m int leaves,curry leaves,coconut milk,coriander leaves and mix well.
Add 1 ltr of water and bring to boil.
Add rice and salt and mix well.
Cover and cook in a low flame til done the rice.
Serve hot.
