Almond Payasam

Almond payasam is made with milk and almonds and flavoured with saffron to satisfy your sweet tooth. The rich and creamy payasam can be made with in minutes and served with chopped nuts.

litre milk
¾ cup soaked almonds
½ cup sugar
4 - 5
strands saffron
1
teaspoon
cardamom powder
Instructions
Peel off the soaked almonds.
Grind the almonds to fine paste with little milk.
Boil milk, add ground paste and stir constantly.
Boil for few minutes, add sugar, saffron which soaked in a tbsp of hot milk and cardamom powder.
Mix well using a ladle until sugar dissolves completely.
Enjoy almond payasam. Hot and cold as you wish.
