THE EDIBLE FOREST I have never had chocolate pasta, nor have I made it. In thinking about a creative approach for pasta and I came up with chocolate ravioli filled with sweet mixture of coconut filling. What a great accompaniment. Get creative, get pasta, and get chocolate! ENJOY!
For the Choconut Filling: Combine together grated coconut , cocoa powder, sugar and blend it . And keep aside.
For the Ravioli : Combine flour ,cocoa powder and make a well in the middle ,add eggs in the centre and incorporate well, mix it properly .
knead until smooth, approximately 6 minute.
Roll the dough on a flat surface . Using a ravioli form lay out a sheet of pasta and fill with Choco Coconut Filling.
Put the top sheet of pasta on, roll with rolling pin to ensure all air bubbles are released and pop out your ravioli.
To cook the ravioli bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Gently add Ravioli to boiling water. Ravioli has finished cooking when they float to the surface of the water.
For the Beetroot Gel : In a large pan add beetroot juice and bring to a boil and add sugar and gelatin .
Stir for about 3-4 min. and let it stay at room temperature.
For the Soil : In a large bowl together crush Oreo biscuits and ginger biscuits by adding casting sugar and mix well.
For the Cream (White Balls): In a bowl add the Oreo cream , vanilla essence, and cinnamon powder and mix well. Use piping bag for decorating.
For the Plating/ Decorating: Place the Ravioli in a plate.
Top it with the soil mixture, ginger biscuits stone crumbs and nuts for crunchiness .
Sprinkle some mixture of icing sugar cinnamon powder, coco powder, dehydrated beet slices, dehydrated spinach for forestry look.
And last but not the least for overall Edible Forestry look and effectiveness place "a completely dried basil stem in garnishing way.
In the above recipe the stem is placed on the Choconut Ravioli.
