soak the barley for 4 hours, then boil with 1/2 tsp salt, cloves and green cardamom. cool discard the cardamom and clove wash it and keep aside.
boil the beans and carrot. grate the potato add boiled carrot, beans, barley, salt, coriander, green chili, red chili powder, lemon juice, bread crumbs and salt.
make the tikki deep fry them till golden and crispy. serve hot with green chutney.
