Clean the leaves and wash them and then pet dry with a soft cloth.
Mix the gram flour, salt, and spices instead of oil in a large bowl and make a thick batter by adding the water.
Now apply the mixture onto the spinach leaves one by one and make a bundle at least 6 leaves.
Boil the water in steamer and steam the bundles till they cook.
Cool them and cut into slices.
Heat the oil in a pan and golden fry the pieces.
Serve hot with green chutney.
