Ever since McDonald has launched French Fries. We always dream of making the perfect french fries at home.Let's accept that fact even though it is difficult to admit it if you are trying to control your diet or generally avoiding junk food but you crave for french fries. Don't you? If someone tells you a recipe of how to make perfect french fries. You would definitely forget about the Salt-loaded french fries available in the market. So go for it!
Peel and rinse the potatoes. Keep the potatoes soaked in water to prevent them from turning black. Cut the potato in 4 or 5 round pieces as shown in the picture below.
Cut each piece into sticks.
Keep the potato sticks soaked in ice cold water to prevent them from turning black. Putting them in Ice cold water helps to remove the extra starch.
Take a vessel and heat water along with salt in it. When the water starts boiling, add the potato sticks in it.Keep the flame high and let them boil for 5 mins until they are soft.
After 5 minutes, turn off the flame and drain them out in a sieve placed above a bowl.
Now pat dry the potato sticks with a clean cloth and place them in freezer for 1 hour to cool down to get the perfect french fries. If you are in a hurry, still you can make them by drying them nicely with the tissue towel or clean cloth.
Heat the oil in a wok for deep frying. Take out the french fries from the freezer and drop them in hot oil. Fry them until they are light brown in color.
Take out the french fries on a Tissue towel to drain out excess oil and let them cool down cool for 30 minutes.
After this, again fry the french fries until golden brown and crispy. Take out on a tissue paper towel to remove the excess oil.
Sprinkle some chaat masala, red chilli powder and salt if you want to add seasoning, Your Homemade McDonald style perfect French Fries are ready to be served.
