Clean, wash and cut the yam into dices. Mix 1 tsp salt and keep aside for 2 hours.
now wash and boil for 10 minutes in water.
Heat the oil in a pan add fenugreek seeds crackle them, saute the ginger, garlic paste then fry the onion paste till golden.
Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt stir and cook for 2 minutes, add tomato puree and cook the masala until the oil separates.
Add boiled yam and green peas mix well add 1/2 cup water and cook for 10 minutes, switch off the flame.garnish with coriander leaves and serve with paratha .
