Honey chilli cake is Indian bakery style Eggless cake. I twisted honey cake with chili powder to give it extra hint. Honey cakes are made by soaking orange cake in honey syrup and than topped with dry coconut powder and jam frosting. It is very famous cake in Bangalore India. In Bangalore Iyengar bakery is very famous for its cake and pastries. All ingredients of this cake easily available in your kitchen pantry. A must try cake.
First take two different bowls for wet and dry ingredients. In wet ingredients bowl add orange juice, vanilla essence, orange food colour, oil condensed milk, powdered sugar mix well
In another bowl add all purpose flour and baking soda mix well.
Shift dry ingredients in wet ingredients bowl . Mix it well. Add lemon juice. Mix well
Pour this batter in Grease square baking pan. Preheat oven at 180'C
Bake it in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes at 180'c. Check in between.
Meanwhile we will make honey syrup. In a bowl add honey
Add water and rose essence mix well and boil this syrup. Switch off the flame and let it cool
Now will make chilli jam frosting. In a pan add mixed fruit jam add water
Add chilli powder
Add powdered sugar. Mix well. Cook it in low medium flame till it becomes spread consistency. Switch off the flame. Keep it out in bowl
Check cake by toothpick test. When it comes out clean cake is ready take it out from oven. Let it cool. When it cool down unmold it. Turn it
Collect all garnishing ingredients.
Pour honey syrup with help of spoon over the cake and let it absorbs by cake.
