Spicy potato is a South Indian dish of mash potatoes with seasonings. It is a spicy dish which taste great with curd rice, rasam rice, sambar rice and even with chapatti and puri.

Potato - 3 large boiled
Oil - 2 tbsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 2 sprig
Dry Red Chilli - 2 broken
Garlic - 4-5 cloves chopped
Onion - 1 large chopped finely
Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Salt
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp

Flour / Besan - 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
Instructions
Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard, urad dal, fennel, dry chillies, curry leaves and let it sizzle.
Add the garlic and saute for a min. Add the onions and saute till onion turns soft.
Add the potatoes and mix well. Use your spatula or back of your ladle to break the potatoes into small pieces and partly mash them.
Add salt and chilli powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for around 5 mins.
Add in gram flour and mix well.
Roast
this for 5-10 mins. Add the chopped coriander leaves and mix well and take off the heat.
Serve spicy potato podimas as a side dish.
