Zafrani Phirni
Ingredients
- 500 ml Milk
- 1/2 cup Almonds or badam, or paste badam paste
- 1/4 cup Basmati Rice or paste soaked paste
- 1-2 strands Saffron
- 2 tbsp Milk or mawa whole dried mawa s
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 pinch cardamom powder
- 4 drops Essence kevra
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- 2 Silver Vark

Instructions
- Soak 15 - 20 almonds for 2 - 3 hours.
- Remove the skin and make a paste.
- Soak rice for one hour and make a paste.
- Boil milk in a heavy bottom vessel.
- Add saffron strand,cardamom powder and sugar and boil for five mins.
- Add almond paste and rice paste and mix well.
- Stir continuously for thickening the milk.
- Add whole dried milk/mawa and mix well
- Add kevra essence and mix well.
- Pour in the earthen pot and keep in the fridge
- Garnish with silver vark, almonds and raisins and serve chilled.
