  • 500 ml Milk
  • 1/2 cup Almonds or badam, or paste badam paste
  • 1/4 cup Basmati Rice or paste soaked paste
  • 1-2 strands Saffron
  • 2 tbsp Milk or mawa whole dried mawa s
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder
  • 4 drops Essence kevra
  • 1 tbsp Raisins
  • 2 Silver Vark


  • Soak 15 - 20 almonds for 2 - 3 hours.
  • Remove the skin and make a paste.
  • Soak rice for one hour and make a paste.
  • Boil milk in a heavy bottom vessel.
  • Add saffron strand,cardamom powder and sugar and boil for five mins.
  • Add almond paste and rice paste and mix well.
  • Stir continuously for thickening the milk.
  • Add whole dried milk/mawa and mix well
  • Add kevra essence and mix well.
  • Pour in the earthen pot and keep in the fridge
  • Garnish with silver vark, almonds and raisins and serve chilled.
