Whole Wheat Hakka Noodles

A very healthy Chinese dish that has been highly popular in India with some Indianised variations as well.

  • 1 pack atta noodles
  • ½ cup shredded cabbage
  • ½ small onion thinly sliced
  • ½ cup shredded vegetables like Simla mirch and carrot Sa
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 teaspoon each of 1. Dark Soya sauce 2. Red chilli sauce 3. Green chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp spring onions to garnish


  • Boil the noodles with salt and black pepper in 4 cups of water for 10 minutes. Drain and wash with ice cold water. Keep aside. In a pan heat the oil.
  • Add garlic and all vegetables. Stir fry on high flame for 1-2 minutes only. Add all sauces. Add the noodles and stir fry for 2 minutes. Serve hot.
