Ingredients
For outer covering
- 2 cup Whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon tsp Salt
- Water as needed for kneading.
For stuffing
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic chopped
- 1/2 cup Onion chopped
- 1/3 cup Carrot grated
- 1/2 cup Cabbage grated
- 1/3 cup Capsicum chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger finely chopped
- 1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce-
- 1/2 tbsp Chili sauce
- Salt to taste

Instructions
For outer cover for momos
- In a mixing bowl mix whole wheat flour salt and oil.
- Now add water in parts and knead a soft dough. Now cover it and let it rest for 20 minutes.
For stuffing
- Heat a pan on the stove then add 1 tablespoon oil and when its hot add finely chopped garlic and ginger, sautรฉ for a while then add onions and stir it till its light.
- Now add all the other chopped vegetables. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Add salt pepper and soy sauce and chilli sauce mix it well. Turn off the heat.
- For the Shaping and Steaming: Divide the dough into the medium-sized dough.
- Sprinkle some flour on the surface and roll the dough ball into a thin circle.
- Now apply a thin line of water around the edges.
- Put 2 tablespoons of stuffing in the centre of the circle.
- Lift one side of the edge and make three pleats. Then bring those three pleats to the centre.
- Then seal the three pleats in the centre with the left pleat and join the left pleat with the right pleat. And repeat this process to create a leaf-like design.
- Heat 2.5 cups of water in the steamer and let it come to boil.
- Grease the pan and put the momos, now steam them for 10 to 12 minutes. When the momos turn glossy, that means they are cooked.
- Serve momos immediately with the red chilly garlic chutney.
