Instructions

  • If you want to get pink dosas use some pink parts of the fruits too as I used. Or else take the while rind alone. (throw away the green skin)
  • Wash the rice well and soak it with fenugreek for three hours. After three hours add the watermelon rind pieces and pink pieces to the mixie jar and grind them to juice. Keep the juice in a bowl.
  • Wash the Poha well and drain the water out. Drain the water out from the soaked rice too. Mix the rice and poha together and add them to the mixie jar.
  • Grind to fine batter to dosa batter consistency adding the watermelon juice instead of water. If the batter is thick after using the juice, then add water . Add salt, mix well and allow to ferment for overnight or 8 hours.
  • Now the batter is ready for making dosas as we do regular dosa. Serve it hot with any chutney and milagai podi .
