Instructions

  • Mix both the types of grated chocolate. Microwave the cream at Med High for 1 minute. Remove and pour over the grated chocolate. Cover it and leave undisturbed for 2 minutes. Whisk gently.
  • If chocolate and cream donot form a smooth mixture Micro again for 20-30 seconds. Add butter. When cold enough to handle add chocochips and roll into balls. Cool for 5 minutes in the fridge to set.

Recipe Notes

Room temperature chocolate and compound will mix and melt fast as they are already soft.

Additional Tips

  • For an added crunch, roll the finished chocolate balls in finely chopped toasted nuts (like pistachios, almonds, or hazelnuts) or crushed freeze-dried berries before chilling.
  • If you want a burst of flavor inside, tuck a fresh raspberry, cherry, or a soft caramel center into each mini ball before shaping and coating.
  • To create a romantic visual effect, drizzle the set chocolate balls with contrasting melted white or ruby chocolate, then immediately sprinkle with edible gold leaf or heart-shaped sprinkles.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut cream and a vegan butter alternative; dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa is often naturally dairy-free, but check the label to be sure.
