Ingredients
- 2 cup Semolina Raw rice rava / idli rava can also be used
- 4 cup Water
- 1 ladle coconut Grated, Optional
- 3 tablespoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon Bengal gram
- 1 teaspoon Black gram
- 3 Chili green and red
- 1 teaspoon Hing
- Salt as per taste

Instructions
- In a mixer grinder dry powder the raw rice like rava (or) Soak raw rice in water for an hour drain it completely and allow it to dry in a cloth for 3 hours and powder it like a rava (or) use idli rava sold in grocery stores.
- Heat the pan with oil and add the tempering items one by one.
- After they splutter pour 4 cups of water and salt. Then add the grated coconut.
- Add rava, mix well and close the pan with a lid and keep the stove in low flame.
- After 15 or 20 minutes open the lid and stir well.
- Now the uppma is ready. Transfer it to a broad plate or vessel.
- Make it in to desired size balls and steam it like idlis in the rice cooker or idli cooker for 20 minutes.
