Tricolor Pulao

We had a group picnic in Lucknow. I was told to bring pulao, so I thought such a pulao with green peas and carrot. This is a rice recipe added with vegetable so we don't need any other curry.

Ingredients
  

  • Rice 250 grams
  • Finely grated Carrot 250 grams
  • Green peas 250 grams
  • Whole spice
  • Bay leaves 4
  • Black cardamom 2
  • Green cardamom 6
  • Stir anise 1
  • Cinnamon stick 2
  • Black corn 12
  • Dried ginger 1 tsp
  • Rose water 2 tsp
  • Refine oil 2 tbsp
  • Pure ghee 1 tbsp
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Finely chopped the carrot keep aside. Wash the rice keep aside. Boil water with whole spices. Bay leaves, cinnamon stick, black corn, black cardamom, green cardamom, star anise and salt. Add rice and make par boiled.

  • Take a frying pan add oil, again add whole spice. Now add chopped carrot and green peas. Mix well and cook for few minutes.

  • Now add par boiled rice and pure ghee. Mix with cooked vegetable. Sprinkle with little water and close the lid.

  • Add rose water and mix again. Serve hot.

Notes

No need any other masala, pickle and curry.
