Ingredients
  

  • Tomatoes 5 big
  • Tamarind 1 small ball soaked in water n extracted approx 1 cup after extraction
  • Haldi 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Rai 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves 10 to 15 leaves
  • Coriander leaves 1 tsp
  • Garlic pods 7 skinned
  • Hing a pinch
  • Salt
  • Urad dal 1 tsp
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Dried red chilli 2 nos

Instructions
 

  • Put the cleaned tomatoes with water in a pressure cooker and cook for three whistles . Let it cool . Remove the skin and grind well into a fine paste in mixer grinder
  • In a pan add the tomato paste tamrind extract and water with haldi red chilli powder and coriander powder and crushed garlic and salt and let it boil for 5 minutes
  • For tempering In a tadka pan add a little oil and heat the oil to it add hing urad dal after it turns light brown add Rai jeera dried red chilli and curry leaves let them flutter
  • Add the tempering to the boiling tomato mixture and put off the flame .
  • Serve hot with rice and papad
