A fusion of Desi and Videshi cuisines....... Tandoori flavored paneer Frittata baked in Tart Shells. A perfect appetizer for any dinner party, get together as it can be pre made and warmed up to serve.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • For the shells- 1 cup organic Maida
  • 2 tablespoon butter at room temperature
  • Ice cold water for kneading
  • Salt to taste
  • For the Frittata- 25 grams paneer, cubed
  • 25 grams paneer, grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 grams Cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon paneer tikka masala
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • ½ cup chopped capsicum and tomato

How to cook?
  1. For the shells- Mix up the flour, salt and butter. It should look like breadcrumbs. Knead a tight dough using as little water as possible. Cover and keep for 15 minutes. Make small balls and roll like rotis.
  2. Grease a few tart Shells or Cupcake moulds. Place the rolled rounds in each shell and press lightly. Cut off the extra bits. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, for 5 to 7 minutes.

  4. To make tandoori Paneer, take the paneer cubes and apply ginger garlic paste lightly with fingertips. Sprinkle some salt and tandoori masala. Keep in fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes. Deep fry to golden brown.

  6. For the Frittata- In a bowl whisk the eggs, grated paneer, grated cheese, seasonings and vegetables

  8. Pour into the tart Shells. Add in a few paneer cubes in each . Bake for approximately 10 minutes or till the eggs are cooked and Shells turn Golden brown. Serve hot.
