Kefir is a traditional fermented milk tasting similar to curd or yogurt that originated in the Caucasus Mountains prepared with kefir starter grains. It is getting quite popular among diet and health conscious people across the world for its nutrients and probiotic content.
Kefir tastes sour, tart and looks creamy so it makes a wonderful base for preparing strawberry kefir cheese with few additional healthy ingredients added. It also tastes like ice-cream when served cold, so children would relish it.
