How to cook?
  1. Steam amla and remove the seeds. Cut into small pcs and cool all the pcs completely. Once cooled, cover the pcs with castor sugar and keep it as it is for 2-3 days until amla leaves water.
  2. After 2-3 days, sieve the amla and separate the water. Do not discard the amla water as it is very nutritious, drink it
  3. Spread these amla pcs on a perforated plate or on a sheet and sun dry it. Prevent the amla from drying completely as otherwise amla pcs will get really hard. So retain little moisture but amla pcs should not be too sticky.
  4. Once dried, sprinkle more castor sugar to coat the pcs with sugar. Sweet amla candies are ready to serve. Store these in refrigerator.for better shelf life.
