simple, easy suran/ yam recipe

Ingredients
- 1 kg yam/ suran
- 1 cup Green peas
- 2 tbsp onion paste
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder/ dhaniya powder
- 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- Salt
- 2 tbsp Oil Mustard oil
- 1/2 tbsp Dry mango powder/Amchoor powder
- Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions
- Clean, wash and cut the yam into dices. Mix 1 tsp salt and keep aside for 2 hours. now wash and boil for 10 minutes in water.
- Heat the oil in a pan add fenugreek seeds crackle them, saute the ginger, garlic paste then fry the onion paste till golden.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt stir and cook for 2 minutes, add tomato puree and cook the masala until the oil separates.
- Add boiled yam and green peas mix well add 1/2 cup water and cook for 10 minutes, switch off the flame. garnish with coriander leaves and serve with paratha .
