About Steamed Cottage Cheese
Steam food is highly nutritious. Steam cooking helps in preserving the fibre, colour, texture and flavors of vegetables. It is also helps preserving the water soluble vitamin B and C, potassium, phosphorus and zinc. Now a days people are health conscious. Steaming our food is best way to ensure that we are eating healthy food.
Being Indian we always keep fast to reduce our fat, but that is not a proper way. We should eat low carb and keto diet that will be more effective for loosing weight. If we consume low fat cheese or soya cheese that will be more better.
Here I mixed all the ingredients with cottage cheese then wrapped with banana leaf and cooked in a steamer.

Ingredients
- 100 gm Cottage Cheese cubes
- 1 tbsp Couscous Paste
- 1 tbsp Coconut Paste
- 1 tbsp Hung Curd
- 1 tsp Paste sesame
- 1 tsp Green Chillies or paste paste
- 10 -12 Raisins
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste

Instructions
- Take a mixing bowl add couscous paste, coconut paste, white sesame paste, green chilly paste, hung curd, coconut oil and salt.
- Mix all ingredient together and gently add cheese cubes and raisins. Again mix gently.
- Take a banana leaf warm for a few seconds, so it will easy to mould.
- Pour water into the steamer and bring to boil.
- Wrap the mixed cottage cheese with banana leaf and tie with a thread.
- Put into the steamer for 10 minutes. Close the lid.
- Open the lid and cooked cheese leaf. Serve in a another fresh banana leaf.
- It can be served with steam rice or as you like.
Recipe Notes
I suggest to serve fresh cooked so you will feel the aroma of every ingredients.
