Familiar sweet Nolen Gur flavours stuffed in a light and fluffy steamed chicken piece. Nolen Gur and Green Chillies might sound like strange accompaniments, but just give it a shot, Ok? After the first bite you will fall in love with this appetizer and I am sure you will not stop after just eating one. Date palm jaggery is used not for its sweetness but for its unique smell that Kolkata loves a lot.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST CUT INTO 3 THIN SLICES
  • 1 tablespoon TAMARIND PULP
  • 5 tablespoon DATE PALM JAGGERY
  • 3 tablespoon GREEN CHILLI PASTE
  • HUNG CURD 5 TBSP
  • FRESH CREAM 2 TBSP
  • Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 5 tablespoon OIL

Instructions
 

  • MARINATE THE CHICKEN PIECES WITH HUNG CURD, FRESH CREAM, SALT, GREEN CHILLI PASTE AND KEEP IT ASIDE FOR 1 HOUR.
  • BOIL THE TAMARIND PASTE WITH A LITTLE WATER IN A PAN UNTIL IT REDUCES. NOW ADD THE JAGGERY INTO IT.
  • POUR THIS MIXTURE INTO THE MARINATION. ALSO ADD THE OIL AND MIX IT WELL.
  • TAKE 3 BANANA LEAF PIECES AND PARCEL THE CHICKEN PIECES INTO IT.
  • STEAM IT IN A STEAMER FOR 30 MINS. SERVE IT HOT.
