Spinach Cheese Balls

Spinach cheese balls are crisp from outside and creamy and cheesy from inside. Serve them with tomato ketchup or hot chiily sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup spinach puree
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • Salt
  • Oil as required for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl take spinach puree, bread crumbs, cornflour and salt. Mix it well and form a smooth dough.

  • In another bowl take grated mozzaeella cheese, finely chopped onion, garlic, oregano, red chilli flakes and salt. Mix everything well and make small balls of it.

  • Now grease your hand with some oil and take a portion of the spinach dough and pat it to small disc. Place one mozzarella cheese ball on it as shown in the picture.

  • Cover the cheese ball from all sides and similarly prepare rest of them like this.

  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the spinach cheese balls till golden brown from all sides.

  • Take out on a tissue paper and serve hot with ketchup!

Notes

Blanch the spinach leaves for 2-3 minutes before grinding.
