Soyaseekh Kebabs On A Pan.

Soya is a favourite ingredient of the nutritionists all over the world. It is gaining popularity because of its high protein content and is known for reducing the risk of heart diseases. Hence here an addition to our veggie kebabs also. When it comes to appetizers ..Kebabs are the first things that hover your mind. Seekh kebabs are unique in taste, and the credit goes to its technique primarily. In this recipe we have tried to prepare the seekh kebabs on a non-stick pan and the results conclude that they can be made easily.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 /2 cup Soya granules
  • 1 cup grated Boiled Potaoes
  • ¼ cup ParBoiled capsicum dices
  • Any other veggie of your choice…boiled French beans or carrot etc… optional
  • 1 teaspoon Salt increase or decrease as per taste
  • ¼ tsp black Pepper powder
  • ½ tsp Chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • 2 tbsp olive Oil

Instructions
 

  • Soak Soya granules in water for an hour. They will become soft and doubleup.
  • After an hour drain all water of soya granules and squeeze them as well to see there is no water. Keep aside.
  • In a bowl take boiled,peeled and grated potatoes.
  • Add parboiled and drained capsicum dices,and any other veggies if you are using.
  • In a bowl take boiled,peeled and grated potatoes. Add the soya granules and the seasoning salt, pepper powder, chilli powder, garam masala to the bowl.
  • Mix well to form a smooth mixture for kebabs. Taste the mixture at this stage for spices and flavour.
  • Now take a stick and place the mixture on it in centre. As we are preparing this in pan so slightly flatten it from two sides. Cook them on a nonstickpan with little oil.
  • Gently invert when done on one side and cook till they turn golden brown on both sides . This have to be handled delicately otherwise they will break.
  • Serve with mint chutney and sauces ….You can sprinkle more masala and chutney on top while serving. Serve hot…and you can remove the stick as well while serving.

Notes

  • If the stuffing is not getting binded then add  one more boiled,grated potato and it would now bind and stick. Also increase the seasoning accordingly.
