Ingredients
- 1 cup Sorghum Rava
- 1 Potato medium size
- 1 Onion medium size
- 3 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups Water
- 1 Bay leaf small piece
- 1 Cloves
- 2 Cardamom
- 1 inch Wailong Marati Mogga, small piece
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 1/2 inch Star anise
- 1/2 tsp Caraway seeds shahi jeera
- 3 tbsp Butter clarified, ghee

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Add the spices, slices of onion. Sauté them over medium flame until the onion slices become tender. Now add sliced potatoes. Mix well.
- Then add three cups of water, salt to taste and finally add sorghum rava. Stir it well to prevent lumps.
- Cover it with a lid. Allow it to boil on medium flame for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes , low the flame and continue to cook for 10 more minutes until the rava turns soft. Drizzle ghee on top.
- Once the sorghum biryani is cooked properly , turn off the flame. Transfer it into a serving bowl or plate.
- Garnish with cucumber slices and serve hot with raita or chutney.
Recipe Notes
- You can add green chilly, any vegetable if you wish.Â
