Savory Sweet Potato Triangles

Sweet potatoes are healthy option for meal .They are loaded with fibre and nutrients. Mildly sweet ,spicy and delicious triangles made with sweet potato and colourful vegetable. A great way to serve sweet potato.

  • Sweet potato- 4 cooked and grated
  • Maida papdi- 6-7 smashed
  • 1 cup vegetables-finely chopped and steamed carrot and french beans finely chopped capsicum,boiled green peas/corn kernels. Finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Garam masala- 1/4 tspn
  • Roasted cumin seed powder- 1/4 tspn
  • Red chilli powder- 1/2 tspn
  • Raw mango powder amchur- 1tspn
  • Salt
  • corn starch - 1 1/2 tspn for binding
  • oil - for frying


  • Take maida papdis in a ziplock bag and smash them using rolling pin.
  • In a bowl take smashed maida papdis add cooked and grated sweet potatoes, all the vegetables and finely chopped coriander.
  • Now add garam masala, roasted cumin seed powder, red chilli powder, raw mango powder ,salt and corn starch.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and using triangle shaped mould (shape the mixture in to triangles).
  • Fry them in hot oil till golden and serve it with red chili sauce.


  • Grate the sweet potatoes when they are completely cool down.
