About Russian Toast

Nowadays, Roadside version of Russian toast is all the rage. I so love it but wanted to go in for a homemade version.
I finally nailed it after quite a few trials and errors.

  • Chop all the vegetables as finely as you can.
  • Add the salt, garam masala, chaat masala Mix up the filling ingredients gently till they all come together.
  • Leave it to rest so that color of beetroot mingles evenly.Take the slices and apply little butter and little chutney on each side of slice.
  • Add little bit of mayonnaise and 1/2 cube cheese.
  • Take 2 slices and put in a tablespoon of the filling. Press it gently.Toast in sandwich toaster or iron tawa for 1 minute each side till golden brown.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese and mayonnaise on top.Cut into pieces and serve hot.
