Rum Soaked Nutty Ricotta Cassata Cream Dessert In A Glass

  • 50 gm ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp Amul fresh cream
  • 1 cup of cashew nuts chopped black raisins and tutti-frutti
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chopped thickly
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • a few glazed cherries chopped
  • 1 teaspoon bloomed gelatin
  • few pieces of candied oranges chopped
  • 2 tbsp brandy or rum
  • 1 teaspoon dark choco chips Optional
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon of *strawberry Compote warmed with 1 tablespoon of rum


  • Take the nuts, tutti-frutti, raisins and glazed cherries in rum and let it soak for about 2 hours. Blend together the cheese, fresh cream, sour cream, condensed milk, powdered sugar till smooth.
  • Add the soaked nuts, raisins, tutti frutti and dark chocolate. Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence. Add the bloomed gelatin if you want it to set. Omit if you prefer smoothie-type dessert.
  • Apply little bit of jam and rum mix to the bottom of the glasses or dessert bowls before adding the cassata cream mixture. Chill for 4-5 hours.
  • Garnish with dark choco chips/ grated dark chocolate or glazed cherries or fresh fruit like strawberries/ cherries etc. Serve cold.
  • Method for blooming gelatin- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water and let stand for 10 minutes. Warm slightly to dissolve the gelatin and let it come to room temperature before using as per need.
