Red Velvet Crinkles are a deliciously soft, fudge-like cookie that are encased in a generous coating of confectioners (powdered or icing) sugar.

  • soft unsalted butter 2 tbsp
  • cream cheese 1 cup 227 gm
  • curd 3 tbsp
  • red gel food color 1 tbsp
  • vanilla essence 2 tsp
  • all purpose flour 2 1/4 cup
  • confectioners sugar 2 cup
  • baking powder 2 tsp
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • icing sugar 1/2 cup


  • Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, except icing sugar.
  • Beat butter and cream cheese together till creamy. mix in curd, vanilla essence and red color and beat again for a minute.
  • In this cream cheese mixture add dry ingredients and mix until it forms a dough.
  • cover the dough with a cling wrap and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350 F and line two baling trays with parchment paper.
  • Make small balls out of cookie dough, lightly press the balls with palm and generously coat with icing sugar.
  • Bake in preheated oven for nearly 10-12 minutes.


1. Feel free to replace curd with 1 egg
2. Dont bake the cookies for longer period than mentioned otherwise it may become dry and harder
