This recipe is kind of seasonal sweet. Traditional and very favorite recipe of Bengali people. Sweet potatoes are and excellent source of vitamin A(in the form of beta carotene). They are also source of vitamin C, manganese, copper, patothenic acid, potassium, dietary fiber, niacin, phosphorus, vitamin B1 & B2. This also protect cancer and effect of aging.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gms sweet potatoes
  • 2-3 teaspoon all purpose flour
  • 2 cup dates jaggery syrup
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mixed dry fruits
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • Oil for shallow fry

Instructions
 

  • Make a dough with mashed sweet potatoes and all purpose flour. Keep separate.

  • Make a filling with cheddar cheese, grated coconut, chopped mixed dry fruits and cardamom powder. Now take a handful dough make a pocket stuffing with filling then shallow fry.

  • When the puli will be light brown then dip into jaggery syrup rose water. After half an hour garnish with coconut and serve.

Notes

Can be preserve more than a week.
