Qeema Aloo

This is great recipe with rice or pitas, i make it all the time since its a quick meal.

  • 300 gm minced mutton
  • 2 medium size potatoes cut into small pieces
  • 2 medium size onion finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato finely chopped
  • 2 spicy green chilies finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoon yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • Some chopped coriander leaves


  • Heat oil in pressure cooker, add onion and saute till onion get pink. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 3minutes on low flame.
  • Add tomatoes, green chilies, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder. Mix it well and saute for 3minutes.
  • Add yogurt, salt and minced mutton with 1/2 cup water n pressure cook it on 4 whistles. Wait till air release.
  • Add potatoes n cook again on 2whistles till potatoes done.
  • Qeema aloo is ready to serve. Serve this hot with pav, chapati and rice.
