Pyaj ka saalan is a famous spicy south Indian curry recipe. It's ingredients are divided in two parts. We need five whole spices.

Ingredients
- 4 tsp Whole Spices (or peanuts peanuts)
- 2 tbsp Coriander
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed
- 2 tsp Sesame Seeds
- 3 Red Chillies (dry)
- 10 Onion (for saalan sized)
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 Onions (or paste paste)
- 1 tsp Black Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
- 1 tsp Curry
- 1 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Tamarind Pulp
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 300 ml Water

Instructions
- Dry roast all the whole spices and then grind in a grinder to make powder.
- Now heat oil in a wok and add black mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves in it.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and onion paste in it.
- Roast it on medium flame until golden brown.
- Now add salt, turmeric powder and spices powder.
- Mix it well and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Now oil starts to separate then add water, tamarind pulp and whole onions in it.
- Cover it with lid and cook it until onions become soft .
- Delicious pyaj ka saalan is ready to serve hot with roti and other indian breads.
