A simple snack recipe with urad daal rice batter in for of small round deep fried dumplings.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup urad dal
- 1/4 cup rice
- 2 tbsp chopped onions
- 2 tbsp chopped green chillies
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- Oil for deep frying
- Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seed
- Semolina 1-1/2 tbsp

Instructions
- In a bowl add urad daal and rice
- Wash the ingredients well
- Soak them in water for 7-8 hours
- Strain the soaked water
- Add the soaked ingredients into a blender
- Add little water and blend into a fine paste
- Make a thick batter and not a thin batter
- Ferment the batter for about 7-8 hours or overnight
- After fermentation mix the batter well
- Add salt and mix
- Add chopped onions green chillies coriander leaves cumin seeds and semolina.batter should be thick
- Make round balls and drop them in oil.deep fry them till golden brown on both sides on low flame
- Serve with red chilli chutney,peanut chutney
