Puffed Rice Pongal Is the Simplified Version of Pongal Which Is Made Up of Jaggery and Dry Fruits and Most Suitable for Festivals. This is suitable for vegans.
Puffed Rice Pongal is the simplified version of our Traditional , Festive and Our God's Favourite Pongal which is made up of Rice, Milk , Jaggery , ghee and a bowl of dry fruits. Puffed Rice Pongal is the healthier version of Pongal which is cooking with minimum available ingredients in less time.
Now Lets Jump into the recipe and ingredients

Ingredients
- 5 to 6 tbsp of jaggery
- Puffed Rice 2 to 3 Cups
- One glass of water
- A Pinch of Cardamom Powder Optional
- Grated Coconut Optional
- Crushed Almonds and Cashews

Instructions
- Switch on the Stove In a Kadai Pour One glass of water , bring it boil as shown in the picture
- Keep the stove in the medium flame then Add 5 to 6 tablespoons of Powdered jaggery.Keep Mixing the Powdered Jaggery until it combines with water.
- Keep Mixing the Powdered Jaggery until it combines with water.
- Now Add 2 to 3 Cups of Puffed Rice Depending on the Sweetness Keep mixing it until the puffed rice absorbs all the jaggery syrup. Keep in low flame for about one minute
- Shift the same into a plate and let it cool down for sometime
- Simultaneously Dry Roast the Almonds and Cashews
- Add the Pongal Mix it gently for about five minutes. Your Pongal is ready
Notes
- If you are using normal jaggery, water should be 2 glasses.
- Puffed rice quantity depends on the level of sweetness.
- You can also use oats and dry fruits powder for garnish.
