Instructions

  • Take ย jaggery and put water in it to make it a watery paste.
  • Take Wheat flour and put ghee, pour the jaggery water to knee the dough, you can also add ย grated almonds and cashew if you want to make it rich and more tasty.
  • Divide the dough into 20 balls, Flatten them with help of the rolling pin into circular shape.Do not make big circles like Indian bread or Chapati or Roti otherwise it is difficult to fry it in small wok and it would need lot of oil for deep frying.
  • Heat the oil in the wok (Tip : to check if the oil is ready put the small piece of dough, if it fries nicely and comes on the top that means oil is ready)
  • Puff these flattened breads in oil and take them out of the wok using the spatula and drain the excess oil using tissue rolls.
  • Serve them hot with any pickle, It goes best with Mango or lime pickle.
