About this Recipe

This recipe brings out the lovely flavour of prawns and all the ingredients including apple cider vinegar makes it a real healthy preperation. This recipe is inspired from Thoughts from ajoy with my own twists in it.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 1 kg prawns( deshelled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons brown cumin seeds
  • 2tablespoon cloves of garlic,peeled
  • 1/2 cup brown vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3 red chillis
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of coriander seeds
How to cook?
  1. Dry roast the cumin seeds, coriander seeds and garlic together in a non-stick pan till it's golden. Allow it to cool.
  2. Grind the roasted stuff with apple cider vinegar and red chillies to a fine paste.
  3. In a pan add olive oil and the fine paste mix. Mix it well and add turmeric powder and salt to it.
  4. Cook on medium heat till the oil rises to the surface and the masala turns oranges.
  5. now turn the flame on slow and add prawns to it. mix carefully till all the prawns are well coated in the masala. Cover with the lid for a couple of minutes and it's done. Enjoy with some salad or rice.
