This is a South Indian style simple potato roast recipe. A perfect side dish for rice/roti dal or Rasam.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Potatoes
  • 3 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon Red Chili powder

Instructions
 

  • Peel the potatoes, add them whole to the pressure cooker. Cook for 3 whistles. Let the pressure release by itself. Cut into big pieces.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add the curry leaves and after few seconds add the potatoes, salt and turmeric powder.

  • Mix well, reduce the heat to low and roast for 5-10 mins. Stir them frequently.

  • Add the chilly powder, mix well and roast further for 10-15 mins, stirring them frequently.
