Spicy potato is a South Indian dish of mash potatoes with seasonings. It is a spicy dish which taste great with curd rice, rasam rice, sambar rice and even with chapatti and puri.

Ingredients
- 3 large Potato (boiled)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Urad Dal
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
- 2 leaves Curry
- 2 Red Chillies (dry broken)
- 4 cloves Garlic (chopped)
- 1 large Onion (chopped finely)
- 1 tbsp Chilli Powder
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 gm Flour (or besan besan)
- a leaves Coriander (finely chopped)

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard, urad dal, fennel, dry chillies, curry leaves and let it sizzle.
- Add the garlic and saute for a min. Add the onions and saute till onion turns soft.
- Add the potatoes and mix well. Use your spatula or back of your ladle to break the potatoes into small pieces and partly mash them.
- Add salt and chilli powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for around 5 mins.
- Add in gram flour and mix well. Roast this for 5-10 mins. Add the chopped coriander leaves and mix well and take off the heat.
- Serve spicy potato podimas as a side dish.
