Potato upside down cous cous cake is a.savoury cake . It has mid eastern flavour.
Yield / Serves
1 cup cous cous
1 tbsp.sumac powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1tsp chilli powder
3 potato thinly sliced and soaked in salted water
2 tbsp fresh amul cream
3 tbsp processed cheese
3 tbsp mashed potato lump free
2 tbsp chopped parsley + Few sprigs of parsley for garnishing
Few cherry tomato for garnishing
On a non stick greased pan . Set a round ring.In this ring arranged sliced potato.sprinkle salt pepper and some sumac powder
Boil water in.a sauce pan once it comes to boil , add cous cous and put on the lid for 15 mins or till.cous cous absorb all water
Now when cous cous absorbs all water separate it with fork
Now in a bowl add boiled potato. Cooked cous cous , Cream, cheese, chopped parsley, Salt and pepper and mix well
Now set this mixture over potato slices.
Now cook on low flame for 20-25 mins
After its done, invert pan on serving plate .
Garnish with parsley sprigs and few cherry tomatoes and serve .
- Cook on low flame otherwise potato.slice will burn .
- Let cous cous absorb all water and then proceed with the recipe
