How to make paneer tawa masala recipe

  • Take a mixing bowl. Add curd, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and crushed kasoori methi. Mix well. Add paneer pieces and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add the paneer pieces and shallow fry for 2-3 minutes by tossing them well. Take care not to burn them. Remove them to a plate.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in the same pan. Once oil becomes hot, add cumin seeds and carom seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • Then add chopped onions and saute till they become translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and mix well.
  • Add tomato puree and cook for 5-6 minutes on a medium flame or till oil separates.
  • Add the roasted paneer pieces to this onion-tomato mixture and mix well. Add half a cup of water and cook on a low to medium flame for another 5 minutes
  • Add garam masala powder and fresh cream and mix well. Add lime juice and combine together. Switch off the flame.
  • Remove paneer tawa masala to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve paneer tawa masala hot with rotis or naans or parathas.
