Paneer Pakoda

Paneer pakoda is made by dipping paneer slices into a spicy batter and then deep frying it.Here is how I do it.

Total Time 40 minutes

  • Paneer 6 long thick slices
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Maida 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder as per taste
  • Tomato chili sauce 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil for deep frying


  • Mix corn flour maida & red chili powder. Add tomato chili sauce & ginger gatlic paste. Mix well.
  • Add some water if the batter is too thick. Adjust salt if needed because sauce also has salt. Add kasuri methi.mix well
  • Coat paneer pieces well . Heat oil in wok. Add pieces one by one. Fry on both sides on high to medium flame
  • Serve hot with tea or coffee


  • Batter should not be too thick or thin
  • You can sprinkle some chat Masala before serving it
