  • Spinach leaves 20 to 25
  • Salt
  • gm flour 4 tbsp
  • Green chili paste 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 pinch
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Garam masla as required .


  • Clean the leaves and wash them and then pet dry with a soft cloth. Mix the gram flour, salt, and spices instead of oil in a large bowl and make a thick batter by adding the water.
  • Now apply the mixture onto the spinach leaves one by one and make a bundle at least 6 leaves. Boil the water in steamer and steam the bundles till they cook.
  • Cool them and cut into slices. Heat the oil in a pan and golden fry the pieces. Serve hot with green chutney.
