Oreo Ice Cream

The heat is getting unbearable with each day and somehow ice creams seem to be way to beat the heat a little... and nothing delicious like some home made ice cream.. "OREO ICE CREAM"... Home made ice cream with chocolatey oreo biscuits...

  • Milk - 1.5 cups
  • Egg yolks - 2
  • Sugar - 3/4 th cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1.5 tsp
  • Oreo biscuits - 10
  • Cream - 3/4 th cup


  • Whisk the egg yolks with sugar in a bowl. Heat the milk on a low flame, and once you see it simmering, remove it from heat. Slowly add this into the egg mixture while continuously stirring it.
  • Pour this mixture back into the saucepan and put it back on the heat. Add vanilla extract and cook till the milk thickens and coats the back of the spoon. Remove it and cool for 15 minutes.
  • While it is cooling, whisk the cream to form stiff peaks. Crush the Oreo biscuits in a blender, keep aside.
  • Now fold in the cream and crushed oreo biscuits into the milk mixture. Put this into an air tight box and freeze it in the fridge. Serve.
