Ingredients
- 5 Whole Spices (ingredients for)
- 2 Peanuts (tspn)
- 2 Seeds (tspn corriander)
- 6 to 8 leaves Curry
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 Whole Red Chilli (dry)
- 10 to 11 Onion
- Ingredients For Saalan (ingredients for saalan)
- 8 to 10 Onions
- 2 Ginger Garlic Paste (tspn)
- 1-2 leaves Curry
- 2 Onion Paste
- 1 Black Mustard Seeds (tspn)
- 1 Fenugreek Seeds (tspn)
- 1 leaves Curry (tspn)
- 1 Turmeric Powder (tspn powder)
- 2 Tamarind Pulp (tspn)
- 200 ml Water
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
- 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions
- Roast all the dry 5 whole spices and grind it. Now take a kadai and heat the oil in it. Put the mustard seeds, when starts spluttering add fenu greek seeds and curry leaves. Then add ginger garlic paste and onion paste.
- Saute it for few mins and stirr continously till it becomes brown. Now add salt, haldi powder and roasted spices powder. Mix it ery well and stirr it for 4 to 5 mins low flame. Now add tamarind pulp, water and Small onions. Cover it with the lid.
- Now let it cook for 10 mins. When Onions becomes soft turn off the flame. Now its ready. Serve this Onion Saalan with chapati and Rice. What ever you like.
